Clayton, NY

It is so good to be back up on The River.  We are parked in the driveway of our good friends, Sally & Lynn Leonard.  They built their new house a stone's throw away from our old house.  Too bad they did not live here when we did insteat of 45 minutes away in Carthage, NY.  We are having a wonderful time.  We spent some time down at our old Yacht Club.  Dinner there the first night we were here, a fun country picnic to celebrate the 4th of July and to watch the fireworks over the River near Clayton, and of course to go boating with Sally & Lynn.  This has been a great visit.  We love being back in Clayton seeing old friends and spending time back on the River!  We are leaving tomorrrow to go and visit other friends in Pillar Point on Lake Ontario, but plan to come back to Clayton the last week in July.

Our really good  friends, Sally & Lynn Leonard.
Their boys and our boys spent a lot of hours together on the River when they were growing up.

See how nicely we are tucked in behind Sally & Lynn's new house.

Getting ready to go out on Sally & Lynn's boat, the "Our Gal Sal".

Lynn checking the anchor line at our favorite hideaway swimming spot.

On board the "Our Gal Sal".

The flag and the wake - how cool is that?

Lynn at the controls of the "Our Gal Sal".
If you look closely, you can see where the back of Lynn's shirt
says "Life is Good" and I have to say, it surely is!

Boating friends Debbie & Phil Hunter with Gracie.

A giant Jenga game down at the club.

Getting tougher with all the missing pieces.

And there it goes!

Scott & Tammy (Sally & Lynn's son & daughter-in-law)

Out to dinner with our friends Rex & Betty who use to be our neighbors.

All this amazingly good food!  Isn't this pretty?
