Back to Texas

Roy & I went back to Texas to visit Alicia & Scott and the children again.  We had a wonderful time visiting with the family and playing games with the children.  Hopefully Scott & Alicia will be coming  to Redmond soon to meet our (growing) family :)

Squire Boone's Caverns

Roy & I stopped in Corydon, IN to catch up on some much needed rest.  To our surprise we learned that Squire Boone's caverns were just a short drive from where we were camped out.  The caverns were amazing.  We went 90' down into the caverns and were able to see formations that are said to be 125 million years old!
The old watermill.

Squire Boone came here to help his brother, Daniel Boone.

Amazing!

The waterfalls feel wonderful on a hot day.

Roy & I stopped in Ohio too visit JP & Ginny Maurer.  Roy & JP have known each other for their entire lives.  They grew up in the same neighborhood and had some great "growing up" stories to share keeping me and Ginny amused!

Niagara Falls

We went to Niagara Falls and were in awe by the sheer magnificence of the Falls!  There are no words to describe what it feels like to see something so awesome.  The Maid of the Mist was a boat trip under the Falls.  Roy & I were in the very front of the boat.  Even with rain ponchos we got soaked. LOL  The Hurricane Deck at Cave of the Winds was also something not to be missed if you ever go to Niagara Falls.  You will unquestionably get soaked (again) even though you are supplied with a rain poncho, but it is so worth it!

The beautiful Falls.

Can't you almost hear the roar!

Happy News!

Scott Renzi
Just had to share the good news!  Scott & Hannah are engaged :)
Don't you just love this picture of them!

Roy & I went back to Massachusetts to help celebrate my friend Pat's son Andrew's marriage.  It was so much fun!  Two other college friends of mine & Pats came.  We had an awesome time catching up and reminiscing about our college days.  Lots of laughs!  The reception for Andrew & his wife Kathy was really nice.  The farm is such a wonderful place for all ages!
All dressed up with someplace to go.....
Waiting to pick up Frances (my friend from Memphis) at the airport.
Would you admit to knowing us? LOL

Maine

Roy & I took a couple days to visit the beaches and shops of southern Maine.  It was fun, but what was really great was the lobster dinner we ate at Kennebunkport :)
The rocky coast of Maine at low tide.

It was a beautiful day for sunbathing - if that is you thing.

More sunbathers.

Apparently this little VW came through the front window
of this cute, little shop - and never left!

LOL!

Old Strubridge Village

Isn't this a beautiful tribute!
Roy & I went to Old Strubridge Village in Massachesettes.  Fortunate for us they were having the Red Coats & Rebels Reinactment Days.  Many reenactments were throughout the village.  It was so interesting.  Hope you enjoy the pictures.  I am having problems with my computer.  My spacebar is no longer operative - I only have a very small rubber dot to use for spacing and it is missereably difficult.....so for now there will be mostly picutres.  Enjoy :)

Making candles.

Music makers along the way.

Spinning wool.

I love the deep reflections.

Fishing for dinner.

I love covered bridges.
